1. Two variations on the
contact high: Some smokers find that if everybody in the group is high, they
don't get as high as usual, because the frame of reference is altered
accordingly. Similarly, one occasionally hears of a "contact low,"
which results from smoking in a group where such behavior is not approved of. (back)
